Women's health

Some things are too important not to talk about

This is the statistical reality for Australian women: our mothers, sisters daughters and granddaughters.

  • 48 Women were told yesterday they have breast cancer
  • 48 women will be told today...and tomorrow

Women's health is about our friends, neighbours, relatives, children, parents and grandparents - everyday people. It's more than just statistics.

  • We all know someone who has suffered cancer, yet we still don't seem to believe that it could happen to us.

When you read the statistics, try to remember that each number represents a real person whose life has been devastated by the diagnosis of cancer. It could be your neighbour, your mother, your partner, sister, your friend ... it could even be you.
