Stand on the shoulders of giants
- Learning to navigate through life will require you to learn new habits to better master your money, continually be able to learn new life skills and better understand how to separate good advice from simply good marketing.
- Abraham Maslow talked about the importance of our psychological good health known as Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the joy of becoming a better version of yourself.
- Marcus Aurelius (Emperor of the Roman Empire 161) reminds us in his personal Meditations that the obstacle is the way and Pareto reminds us that roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.
- Alan Turing the mathematician (credited as the father of modern computing) who helped break the Nazi Enigma code machine of WW II quietly remarked 'Sometimes it is the people no one can imagine anything of who do the things no one can imagine'.
Whether you use your growing powers to become a supervillain or a superhero, that's your choice.
But either way, you'll need to get used to being comfortable with being uncomfortable and always be refining your skills to become a better version of who you want to become.
(We think the world doesn't need any more lame supervillains by the way.)
